Michael Moon

Michael Moon started out trading "funny books" for a penny apiece at the neighborhood Mom 'n' Pop grocery in the small town where he grew up. Every student in his parochial grade school received a subscription to Treasure Chest, a Catholic comic that ran stories about life in the godless Soviet Union alongside virgin-martyr tales of ancient Rome. Years later, when he first saw Henry Darger's work, it seemed uncannily familiar to him. Call him oldfashioned, but good color and clear design mean the world to him.
